Matthew Holbrook,
MPT,
CSCS
Physical Therapist
Matt graduated from Stockton College of NJ with a Bachelor of
Science in Biology where he also played baseball for the school
team. He then went on to pursue his Master’s degree in
Physical Therapy. While in school he began to see the role proper exercise
played in one’s health. After college he went on to become a Certified
Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. He is an active
member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning
Association. In addition to developing effective exercise programs, Matt is also very
experienced in Manual therapy techniques to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions.
Most of his postgraduate training has involved intensive manual
therapy and postural education. He has developed his own Health Spine Program that is
backed by research to help clients prevent and or alleviate back
pain in their everyday lives. Matt takes pride in his attention to detail in all
aspects of his work and life. When not working he enjoys country music and the outdoors
with Sandra and Jack.

James received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Long
Island University. He started out his career in New York working in a variety of
settings including acute care, in-patient rehab and sports medicine facilities. He
then spent 2 years in Florida working in a head trauma unit. Since moving to the
Garden State in 1994, James has worked exclusively in out-patient orthopedics. James
takes pride in his manual therapy techniques. He feels Physical Therapy is most
successful when the patient is an active participant and shows a willingness to make
changes in their lifestyle and follows through with exercise. James presently resides
in Branchburg and has two daughters in their teens. Outside of WHPT, he enjoys music,
movies, and coaching his daughter’s lacrosse team.
You will find Maureen filling many roles at WHPT. She will assist you in all your
scheduling needs and will help verify your insurance information. Maureen has worked
previously in healthcare offices. When Maureen is not working, she can be found on the
beach where she spends most of her weekends. She lives in North Plainfield with her
husband and has two grown children. Maureen also has one granddaughter.

Laura is currently studying Biology, Math and Computer Science at Seton Hall University.
Laura does a little bit of everything at WHPT, as her biggest strength is multitasking.
Laura also became our computer person and she is also the designer of the WHPT website.
When Laura is not working, she enjoys playing guitar and designing websites.
Sandra graduated from Stockton College of NJ with a Bachelor of Science in Biology
and went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
During her time at Stockton, she worked as an athletic trainer with the various sport teams. She
is also a Certified Strength and conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength
and Conditioning Association. In addition to developing health and fitness programs, she also has
extensive experience in pediatrics. Her Physical therapy area of specialty is treating neurological
disorders, orthopedic conditions and developmental delays in children from ages birth to adolescence.
Sandra values the importance of a holistic approach that involves listening to your body and looking
at all aspects of your health. When not working she enjoys outdoor activities, especially chasing
Jack. She also enjoys cooking and coming up with healthy recipes.
